Ener-t Solar Technologies
General Description of the System
The Solar thermal plant can be broken down into five interlinked principal subsystems:
-
The Solar Collector Field
-
The Heat Transfer Fluid (HTF) system
-
The Power Block
-
The Water Systems
-
The Thermal Energy Storage (TES) system - optional
-
Ancillary Systems
General Process Schematic
The TES system is not required for the proper operation of the Plant, but is intended as an auxiliary system to improve plant utilization, manageability and generation capacity. Taken together, these benefits significantly improve the project’s return on investment.
These systems are identified in the following general process schematic.General Process Schematic
The Solar Field
The elemental unit of the solar field is the parabolic trough solar collector module.
